Voltaren Emulgel unlike over the counter pain relief gels which use menthol to cool and heat muscle tissue, works instead with a prescription strength analgesic NSAID(non steroidal anit inflammatory) that is absorbed into the muscles. By being absorbed through the skin it can target local areas of pain and swelling more effectively.

 

How to use Voltaren

Voltaren Emulgel is composed of 10 mg of diclofenac per gram of product. Amount of gel to be used can vary from person to person depending on the location and severity of pain. Voltaren recommended usage is for small areas of skin and should not be applied to large areas. Do not use Voltaren for more than 7 consecutive days. Most patients will be advised to apply the gel to local area of pain at a rate of 3 to 4 times daily. Check with your doctor before deviating from any of these typical usages.
